Introduction
For the first time, three major open source communities are sharing one stage in China. KubeCon + CloudNativeCon + OpenInfra Summit + PyTorch Conference China 2026 runs September 7-9 at the Shanghai International Convention Center, bringing together Kubernetes, OpenStack, and PyTorch under a single event.
What’s Happening
This is a joint gathering of CNCF, the OpenInfra Foundation, and the PyTorch Foundation, marking the first time these three communities have converged on one stage in China. The event addresses a shift many of us are already seeing with customers: enterprises want their cloud-native platforms and AI model workflows to work together, not as two separate stacks.
The schedule runs across three days:
- September 7 (Monday): Co-located events, including AGNTCon + MCPCon China and the OSPOlogy + OSPO Summit
- September 8-9 (Tuesday-Wednesday): Keynotes, breakout sessions, and the Solutions Showcase
Why This Matters
- Cloud-native meets AI infrastructure. If you’re deploying LLM or agentic workloads on Kubernetes, this is where that conversation is happening at scale.
- Three communities, one trip. Kubernetes, OpenStack, and PyTorch content in a single venue means less time split across separate events.
- Runs right after AGNTCon + MCPCon China. The two events are back-to-back (September 6-7 and September 7-9), so a single Shanghai trip covers both agentic AI and cloud-native infrastructure.

Conclusion
Between the cloud-native, open infrastructure, and PyTorch tracks, there’s a lot to plan around for this one. If you’re already going to AGNTCon + MCPCon China the days before, this is the natural follow-on. Let me know if you’ll be there.
